Only 19 percent of Americans believe the country is headed in the right direction, according to new Gallup polling. When broken down by party, Democrats’ satisfaction fell 17 points between October and December, from 47 to 30 percent. GOP satisfaction rose from October to November following the election but has fallen back down to 9 percent.
